  1. In fairness guys, that FCO2 was far from satisfactory. Have a look at the forums and see how many people had problems with faulty switches, power connections, firmware etc. I found these because I had these problems too, I barely got 5 flights out of it.   I agree, this FCO3 seems expensive given the track record users have had with its predecessor. Most don't want FPV capabilities, just ariel video/photo, surely a compact STURDY camera with decent image quality cannot be that hard to produce!?!   Nicky.
  2. Thanks guys,   Some good info there. As it happens, the FF7 has got aero throttle expo, and this did the trick beautifully. Should have reserched this better! Although some of those mechanical throttle solutions are useful, sometimes it is difficult to incorporate them into a particular model.   Cheers!   Nicky.
  3. Hi folks,   I have an SC52 4C in my Seagull Pilatus PC9, but it seems that 90% of my throttle control is in the 1st half of the stick movement, thereafter there's very little left in the engine. This makes it difficult when landing when subtle throttle control is required.   I could sort this if i had aero throttle curve on my FF7 but alas, I do not. Any ideas as to an alternative remedy for this problem?   Cheers, Nicky.
  4. Hi all,   Anyone have an opinion on what size two stroke would be a good replacement / equivelant  for a .61 four stroke? This is to go into a Tony Nijhuis 60.5" Spit.   I know you will all say a 4C will sound better, but I just fancy a change!   Cheers, Nick.

  11. Very interesting stuff there folks, I guess it is possible to nose over anything in the right conditions! Just Saturday night I nosed over myself!!! (poor condition...)   My wings are indeed banded on, and now that you mention it I noticed last time out that perhaps i need some new bands as mine are beginning to stretch. Cheers for that Chris.   I think I will go for the Seagul PC9 which seems to get good reviews, as opposed to a P51 which I'd hate to ruin on a rough patch.  As for the 737, it's all about the glide slope on approach and throttle control, then practice practice practice, expensive on a 737 Sim Simon...   Nick.
  12. Hi everyone,   Have any of you opinions on whether a tricycle undercarriage or a tail dragger would be best for a rough patch? My patch can have good grass growth, coupled with the odd divot from the local livestock! I fear that if i invest in a nice warbird it would just nose over repeatedly on my patch. I currently use a tricycle whic has never nosed over on me, provided i flare nicely the grass actually slows it down nicely!   On a seperate issue, I find that in my current high wing bang about, after a loop when i think i am going to level out, the plane just wants to flip into another loop unlessi arrest it with down evelvator. any idea why this is? too much speed???   Any comments welcome...   Cheers, Nixer.
