Hi guys. Can someone tell me how to connect up my rudder using the back plate as i seem to have two plates here and it really does not look right connecting the back plate to the tail link....

Well i have fiddled around for a while now using chromecast and it is quite amazing what can bedone but to of yet unless you use a cable its not got that advanced yet and is still under 'Transition'. I think it will be cableness at some point but the cable is really the only option that i can see

I am struggling to find the above electric prop in the UK. Anyone help?

OK i am going for an electric wots wot. I am thinking of a G110 ( 295kv) from hobbyking with a 80esc running on a 6S 5000mha. firing a 13 X 6 prop That maybe a bit OTT but looks good on paper but will it fit...help me out here guys

coming from hellis to planes Speed is an issue as getting out of the habit of sitting there as with a plane its a stall and the other is to keep the stick still to keep straight and true without using a tiny bit of elevator. Both seem to contradict each other dont they but moving the sticks to the extent i see plane flyers do it horrifies me! So now i have decided to go back to a complete beginner in flying but the mind set and habits are hard to break.

Yes that is exactly where i am that Jon. Its not just the speed but the stick throws as on hellis its so little movement almost if you get a bad gust of wind it could blow your stick and effect the helicopter. I see the plane flyers throwing those sticks around and i can't get used to it. The other is trying to keep the thing level without the elevator. basically keeping the stick 'Still'!. As i am so used to always having that stick on the move like balancing a marble on a piece of hardwood. In the main though its keeping that straight line flight without wiggling just a tiny bit on the usually 'UP' elevator and keeping the elevators still as i either dont do the turn or completely over do it and turn too much and flying upwind is a problem flying straight for me without lifting as i keep twiddling those damn sticks. The other day i saw a flyer using the entire extent of the stick area can you imagine that on a helli. Hi Jon. i must admit i have found getting to grips with planes a bit harder than i thought,people who fly hellis always say a plane is a piece of cake but plane pilots can't fly helicopters and i think now what a load of rubbish and rather pathetic by the helli crew ( not all but a good 50% of them) I started with the parky SE5a but i was finding it really had to be a calm evening i found and the wind has been terrible so far this year and it was foam. I got a ARTF Nieuport 11 the 'Bebe' being oracover and it was a bit more stable but i think i fell for the french flag markings as being that compact was not really the practical WW1 plane to learn on. I kind of stopped there and thought you are running before you can walk matey so i am building up to them but its coming along. I just love biplanes and the WW1 planes with a IC 4 stroke in is the nuts. I saw a SE5A up the club but it was electric and a WW1 aircraft has to be the worst plane to put an electric in. So i will be looking for dates with them in.....

I am on the look out for a good make of 4 stroke in 91 . I like the thunder tigers but i am open to suggestions?

So the standard on a riot is 40 amp/3s 3000/ 840kv/12 x6 p I have now placed a 40amp/ 4s 3200/ 840kv/ 10x5 p However i am thinking of putting the Multiplex 1130 kv in and if so what controller would i have to add or maybe still keep it at 40A? I think the word is....Go like stink!!

The Bixler 3 is deemed as a fixed wing as it has undercarriage and a prop but on a A test i dont think it would be heavy enough unless you stuck a 60 motor on it with a 6s battary at 5000 amps....Now that would be amusing to watch

I guess if the rule states you can take any A certificate in 'ANY' order that sums it up but is a pusher a glider?

Just to add to the pot i am presuming there must be a weight for the glider so am i right in saying that the A certificate in fixed wing includes the battary to make up the 1KG and if so is this the case for a powered glider? After purchasing one of these i as surfing the internet inc u-tube and forums for a build thread or video especially this model has been out for many years. does anyone know if there is one somewhere?

I guess for the silent flight scheme that would mean that the model used would need to perform the tasks unpowered, while for the power scheme it needs to take off under it's own power. By those measures a power assisted glider with undercarriage qualifies as a powered model. Whether it would qualify as a glider for the silent flight test is another matter. I want to find out so i can make sure i have the appropriate glider. Perhaps there is a motorised and non motorised glider certificate , i would imagine that 'part' of the requirment is to have a limited wingspan size .
