  1. Has Spektrum repairs moved to Germany?
  2. I've contacted Horizonhobby and we will see what they suggest.
  3. Cheers Andrew, I've just checked back and found the set is just out of warranty so I'll be looking for a different battery so I can charge outside of trannie and see what is happening.
  4. Its the battery that came with the set
  5. just tried to switch on trannie at home still not working so connected to charger and it immediately came on showing 7.4 v then dropped to 7.2 after switching charger off. All limits were set but nothing was observed during flight and there was two of us there.
  6. As I said before after charging there were no issues.
  7. learnt a hard lesson today when trannie failed when aircraft in flight, aircraft a total loss, lipo burst into flames and burnt out the wreckage. It happened when the trannie screen went blank during the flight and I lost control will investigate further and try to discover what happened.
  8. It was a new transmitter that would not switch on.
  9. I recently bought a new DX7 gen2 Transmitter and have been using it for a couple of months but have found that when setting up controls on aircraft suddenly it will not switch on, this is after a flying after an hour or so. I've checked the alarms are on for low battery but receive no notification from transmitter that the battery is low and when recharged it operates perfectly is this (normal)?.
  10. Can you recommend a outrunner for Ton Van Munsteren's P51

    loss of control

I had excactly the same thing that happened to me in fact I could have written the same report. I had the Eco-Cam connected at the time, I asked the 'Forum' at the time they couldn't come up with why?.I never used the Eco-Cam again.
  13. Would it be ok using a spektrum dx7 as master with dx6i as slave?
  14. Thanks Engine Doctor can't give you any info on engine performance yet as its sitting on it's test bed ready to run in. But I'll bear in mind your advice when it goes into the model.
  15. Hi All, anyone got any ideas on how to connect the throttle and choke on a crrc 26r as they appear to be in line with one another?
  16. I've recently purchased a 2.2mtr Sky Climber from Hobbystores. It was recommended by the guys at the shop(they had all got one) And it lived up to the recommendation. What a fantastic model, straight from the box with the recommended battery a 2200mah Lipo and into the air. the climb rate was superb and when I back off the power it just floated around for what seemed forever. I then opened it up and tried loops and rolls it was a joy to fly. I would recommend this to a beginner as it has no flying vices, the one negative would be assembling it. You have to juggle the servo leads into the fuselage as you put it together but I suppose I will find another way of doing this in time. So if you want a load of fun go out and get one
  17. Next year I hope to take an electric glider abroad on holiday with me by air what are the procedures to follow I.E what to carry on board as personal luggage and what goes in the hold?

    loss of control

Hi everyone, thought I'd keep you posted about the radio problem.I've flown a small aircraft with the same transmitter with a different receiver, no problems at all. I then rebuild the plane that crashed and installed the same receiver and battery as before but no eco-cam. Did a 360 degree range check to see if things still operated and have flown the plane six times with no clitches of any kind so I can only say there was some kind of interference from the eco- cam or a fault in the electronics of the eco- cam. Cheers all

    loss of control

Thanks everyone for posting your comments, I will be conducting some tests myself over the coming days and maybe flying a small foam model to see what happens. Cheers
  20. I recently had an model aircraft that I lost signal to that crashed. This aircraft had flown many times without any problems. The radio used was a Spektrum DX7 with a AR 7000 receiver. The battery used was a 2000 mah 6volt on the receiver and 2400mah on the transmitter all fully charged on that day. plugged into the receiver was an eco-cam as well as the normal aircraft controls. The aircraft took off ok and had been flying for about 8mins when the engine went to low revs( which I assume was fail safe) and none of the controls functioned resulting in a slow glide to crashing, I looked at the receiver voltage at the time and it was 11volts. I have tried to replicate this with the radio at home as it still works despite the crash and cannot find fault with it, the only way it will do this is to switch off the trannie. Any ideas out there.
  21. Cheers Richard, I'll bear that in mind.
  22. Cheers Ackers I look at this one.
  23. Hi all, I've just purchased a RCGF 15cc petrol engine, could you recommend a sport type model to install it in. Cheers
