Hi , can any one tell me how to set up my sc 40 carb . I am having trouble setting up the idle adjustment to get a steady tick over, I can only get a fast tick over which stops with one click of trim. The engine is second hand without instructions so i dont know the correct starting point for the idle screw.

New hanger at "ashfield international" ( thats what the domestic authority calls the shed) is now complete and waiting for new models , a glider would fit in very well. -

New Dynamic Soaring speed record
Les Littleton replied to Iain Burr's topic in All Things Model Flying
I wanna go slope soaring . Will my ripmax trainer do 300mph ? The irvine 40 up front is only 10 years old and maybe i could launch it of the top of k2 using a bungee. Seriously though the video is amazing, congratulations! -
If its free that you want ,dont forget the museum at RAF Cosford during the LMA show this year . I can recomend it to all ..... check out the cold war display, its excellent.

If you go about learning to fly models in the proper way it is very rewarding and very very enjoyable, however there are a number of pit falls waiting to take the shine off your new hobby . In my case it may be self inflicted, but ignore the perills at your own risk. If the domestic authority suggests that the kitchen could do with a bit of tidy up, PAINT IT QUICK ! delaying this only gives them time to get together with the offspring and before you know it your ripping out walls fitting new doors and splashing out on the services of the local corgi gas fitter to fit a new fire. Apart from the time factor this can have a serious affect on the modeling budget. Add all this to wedding preperations and you end up with one seriousley skint and knackered budding model flyer . Does anyone know where i can buy a 28 hour clock and a calender with a nine day week .

Can anyone tell me if you can use a futaba tx with a different rx ( sanwa ) or is this not possible. I also have a sanwa tx but i dont think its possible to buddy this up with a futaba . i would need to use the sanwa as the slave in this pairing.

Congratulations on going solo Dave ,and also well done to Shauns son on his A. I am just getting back into the hobby after six years, and have just had a couple of hours tuition from Colin Chapman who runs a school near Northampton to start building confidence again . I am now joining a local club and going out to hammer the credit card into submission, chocs away!!!. Les
