  1. Hi Bob, I used spray paint from homebase, its called"Rust-oleum" craft and hobby enamel. I works Ok, has no effect on the foam and comes in lots of colours. I find a couple of colours to give a contrast make the model a bit more visable, but they all seem to look the same once its up there! Best place to paint it? Well...either in the shed or garage is good or in the garden if its a nice day!! DM
  2. Posted by Peter Ward on 03/01/2013 17:01:17: The family that sticks together stays together..... Ha, thats funny! No probs with getting them apart, not too much skin lost so not to worry, as I say its usually me getting stuck to something. She wasn't too keen when I mentioned getting the V tail attached though.... DM
  3. So there I was trying to glue the nose cone onto my Christmas MPX Blizzard, but it really needed a second pair of hands. I'm pretty hopeless with the cyno, always glueing either my fingers together or to something else, like the cleaning cloth, so I asked SWMBO for assistance, anyway, to cut a long story short, we got the nose on OK, but managed to cyno her fingers together in the process. This made a change, and its good to have a shared hobby...
  4. A Pheonix 2000 (HK) from the kids, a Great planes C of G machine, very useful, and "accidently" bought myself an MPX Blizzard last week . I'm happy. DM

  13. "The Joy of Slope"   I managed to get a half hour flying at Morthoe this afternoon with my Weasel, fantastic model and great flying site, a short session I know, but it still counts!!   Dave

  15. Crikey BEB, surely its not the size that counts! .   Andy, I know I said it was scientific, but.....................maybe not that scientific,.I suppose I wonder, as there does seem to be a bit of "pride" (or bravado) on some forums etc about the wind speeds people fly in, as Wingman suggests in his post , there can be some wild guesswork!   I think that this is one of the big changes you need to get over when starting slope flying, actually wanting the wind, and actually launching into it, rather than not wanting too much when power flying, that and landing of course .   DM
