  1. If you have a voltmeter, try tickle charge at 0.1A for a while until it reached 3.0V and try again, it may work.
  2. I support what Timbo recommand, on top of his good scientific review, here is another one. You can get one with £48 shipped including a free tempature sensor, for an extra £12.8 you got a matching power supply.
  3. This is typical give you an apple whilst ask for an orange. Can't see how to replace a small fossil fuel car like the Smart by an electric car can reduce congestion. The incentive to drive a electric car in order to reduce emmission is a totally different subject.
  4. I hate to say that, but El, those BC6 review are just reproduction of their manual to tell the features whereas Tim's review is a scientific testing of the IMAX B6, in addition to Tim's one, there is another scientific review about the IMAX B6, they probvide real life testing and I would say their data are from abuse testing of the charger. For me, as a novice flyer, the charger did provide safe, ease of use, fairly accruate and most important, stays within my budget. I use it to charge to packs in series at field and even I just take the lowest cell voltage as a reference point, I still have fun. BC6 has a problem of its own, a 50W charger for that price is a bit too much.
  5. If money is not an issue, I would get the BC6, otherwise Timbo's suggestion is good. I use that cone too, it work great with me, it's also lighter and less bulky when take it to the field.
  6. I rather go for the IMAX B6 which support 6 cells. The 601 only up to 5 cells. I got mine from Hong Kong including the temperature probe for £48 shipped.
  7. The RC power 601 is actually 5 cells and not 6 cells as suggested by the name.  The B6 has significant improvement over B5, not just 6 cell. The temperature probe is one as run away escalation of tempature is the main cause of lipo accident. Along Timbo's review, there is also a review on this blog that also demonstrate the 2X3S on the IMAX B6.
  8. There are newer quality lipo like the thunderpower, flightpower and etc is capable of charging at 2~3C with no adverse effect on the battery according to the manufacturer.
  9. Buying from eBayer from Hong Kong will be the cheapest you can get for products from China, their actual postage cost is the cheapest and they always find a way to reduce your risk being taxed. However, you have to search for a good and reliable eBayer. You will encounter difficulties in tracking, return and warranty issue. I have both bad and good experience. Last time I bought an IMAX B6 charger from HK, it's one of the best experience ever, it has the lowest price (£45.9 shipped), the guy is very helpful in answering my question, I got a tracking number the next day, and the charger arrived 4 days later; no taxes. According to that guy, he test every item before shipped out. It does reduce the risk of warranty return. No wonder he sold that much IMAX B6 and have a 100% +ve feedback.
