  1. I completed and build and fly review on our website Link if anyone is interested she really is great fun to build and fly
  2. my 2p's worth would be that although the inlet recovers some of the pressure during flight it allows the motor to rev higher so balancing the load and keeping constant draw....  Hence the noise change in flight ? I'm not techie in a any way so don't flame my logic !
  3. PC covered is polycarbonate covered dfoam , basically for a little more weight is gets rid of hangar rash ! @David, I'm pleased a punch, I've owned all the Lander Jets (currently building the cougar) and they are getting better all the time, their customer service is first class and listen to customer feedback, a 90mm T33 is well in development and a set of electric retracts for upto 7.5lb's just launched. I like the fact that they are open with their products, you see videos that aren't staged and problems with prototypes discussed openly in order to improve.
  4. Well the maiden of my Mig was last Sunday at the BMFA Northern Area Fly-in at Dishforth. It's not the PC covered version but it is stunning, no trim needed !
  5. Timbo, are you not a modeller ? Don't you regularly trawl the websites of you favourites to see what's new ?  www.overlander.co.uk  for all you thinking what's that blithering idiot on about ? Edited By James Hindle on 28/01/2010 23:44:08
  6. Garry,  I plan on videoing the talk and more than happy to pop it on a DVD for you. I'll let you know how it comes out after the night.
  7.   The North Leeds Model Flying Club www.nlmfc.org has arranged for Derek Round to come to our next informal meeting to give a talk on the development of Radio control in the 50’s and 60’s, its great to be able to procure David for the meeting the club would like to invite anyone interested to come along for what should be a very entertaining evening.   The event is free and will take place on the 1st February (19:30 for 20:00 start) at Horsforth Golf Club, Layton rise, Horsforth,
  8. Oh yes it has Dusty  lets go them .......
  9. Maybe we should change the title of this thread to 'no fun in the snow' ?
  10. We turned the spats round for some make shift skis / floats, the problem you had was with the fresh snow depth and weight of models mate, rather clear a patch than not fly
  11. 1. Mode 1 2. Yorkshire 3. Yorkshire 4. Self Taught   I think you should ask how long they have been flying as in our club the older memebers are Mode 1 and the newwr members Mode 2 ?
  12. We had fun up at our snowy club on Sunday !       Photos and more are on our club websit and can be found by clicking here Edited By James Hindle on 05/01/2010 08:38:42
  13. Superb job Dusty, the ducting is something to be proud of, should scoot. The flyfly mirage has always had a good following and known for its 'lack' of vices but with Jepe's rework and your skill it should be quite a sight, its a pity you are so far away from me (up on North Yorkshire), I'd love to see it fly !
  14. CML in the UK have them in stock Eric  http://www.cmldistribution.co.uk/cml_product.php?&productId=0000003559
  15. Nice work Dusty, you'll love the afterburner lights they show up very very well in the air !
  16. I've got an 8S 90mm Lander fan coming for the Lander Mig 17  (its a great build by the way). I'll post some test data if 'parcelfarce' can ever be bothered to deliver it !
  17. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1146631&page=3 THey haven't gone out of business just restructuring.
  18. I'd like adding pictures to be more friendly, if the picture is not in your gallery it all gets very complicated to open a new window and add the picture etc etc, there should be an option to upload picture and then add it to your gallery. Hope I make sense
  19. Hi there,  Is it only me or is this platform slowing down over the recent weeks, last night I gave up logging in ? Is it the advent draw or something else, I don't seem to have problems on any other forums at the moment ?
  20. It is interesting David, very time consuming as to do it properly you need to consider a number of variables and although it was easy to retrofit in the canopy if I had built the model I would have opted for an install in the wings using larger speakers.
  21. Andy, on the ground its 80dB, but the speakers are small and on the limit.   The TBS mini was £80 The speakers were £20 The amp was £40 (there are cheaper avaialble) The USB dongle was £22
