  1. Could Chris or Glenn produce a simple wiring diagram with the set up you mentioned please, I think I understand but prefer to see it in a drawing & my other concern is the negative wire is common from both batteries, is that ok ? Cheers.
  2. I thought as much Frank, just have to go along the 6v route. Cheers. P.S we have flown together at Ross indoor nights with Ant Redding etc: Hi Paul, thanks for your advice I might look into the SM services unit, but I think they have ceased trading. Cheers
  3. Hi all, I am installing mechanical retracts & want to use a seperate battery for the retract servo. The Spektrum A7040 retract servo is a high power unit suitable for 6v or 2 cell LiPo, the Rx is a Spektrum AR600 and I would prefer to power this with a 4.8v battery pack. I know how to connect seperate batteries of the same voltage for retracts but I need to know if its possible to have two different voltages in the circuit ? Cheers, Martin
  4. I have a PAW 100 Mk2 engine and would like to know if there is a silencer available for this engine ? Cheers
  5. Hi chaps, regarding my Hurricane I did not put any washers under motor mount and mine flies like a dream. As I am a 2200 3s pack user I used two of theses in my Hurricane in parallel, one in the normal battery space & the other behind it on the C of G. With 4400mAh to use I can achieve around eight minutes of mixed flying with around 40% left in each pack.
  6. Hi Stuey, Sorry for not responding to your questions, I've been away for a while but will answer them in full soon. Note here for Stephen, have alook at the pic's I posted on page 3 of this thread regarding the U/C doors. Cheers.
  7. Hi all, just finished my E Flight Hurricane but not own yet. Regarding the retracts I bought the standard set and modified them as follows to prevent more expense. I shortened the legs as normal, then cut an M3 thread to the axle, this enables you to use a lock nut to retain the wheel & the u/c doors modified by cutting locating stub off as shown in drawing & fitting a small 5mm o/d stub to door with an M3 set screw . If you require pics to back up the above plz ask. Cheers.
  8. Hi Jim, I have the build diagrams & instructions for your Spitfire and MR retracts. Nice to hear your input Glen as you helped me no end with my build and set up. I can scan the instructions and send them via email if you like Jim ? Cheers, Martin (Widget)
