  1. Thanks chris That would be great, I might build one and try an electric setup,but I need to have a target weight to focus on it and not build a piglet. I have an os10 but I think that would be overpowered..maybe? Regards Daniel

The final jobs have been velcro-ing Rx and ESC in place, connection of the control surfaces, adding a couple of hatches and tissuing anything that wasn't already covered. The power pod is now fixed too, by drilling though both bits of hardwood with a 2.5mm drill, tapping the fixed block out to M3 and opening the rail up to 3.2mm. This means that a couple of M3 bolts will be all that's needed to change from Electric to Diesel power pods. The battery hatch is held with two cocktail stick dowels at the rear and two magnets at the front. It seems I need some sort of handle/lever to lift the front now, as I'm marking the lid with a fingernail. oops, seems I need to glue the tailplane on too, instead of relying on these two temporary bolts that are only screwed into balsa. Hello to all I'm tempted to build the Bambino as my first electric Model, i like it's simplicity. there are some things tough that i would like to know about it's construction. first is the undercarriage, how exactly is it mounted to the fuselage? (Please show photo's) second, I'm concerned about the weight. being a very small model the 200g limit shown on the plan, it weights as my smart phone! which is amazing! i never build such a small model and I'm worried I'll wont be able to achieve that. should i look only to very soft balsa? anyone build it and came a little heavier?   5. another magnificent design from Tony, i like the size of this one, compact but not that small. maybe a bigger version for turbine power in the future? who knows. now i would love to see a Yak 3 or Me109 to accompany the mustang, spitfire, and the fw190.

In fact, my reason for posting my query was because I stumbled across the ASP 0.30 FS a few weeks back when reading up about engines -- including 4-strokes -- to get a feel for what is out there. I was surprised to find that there are no 'small' 4-strokes available any more... and OS has just discontinued its FS-30 Surpass. The ASP weighs 275g, but I will need to check if this mass includes the silencer. To be honest I prefer electric myself. Chapter one will be my first plane: previously I have flown small electric helicopters -- so it will be a whole new experience, hence all the general research. Once again thanks for your help.   9. I found this in my album below you can see at the top the correct dihedral brace as per Alex design and at the bottom the one that was shown on the plans you can see there was quite a bit of difference luckily i always check before i fit

I'm asking because it wont be the first time that there are Discrepancies onto the plans, the author in the article says 4 inches and then you find that the plans says or show 3 inches. it happened for me once while building alex whittaker bushwacker a similar trainer to Chapter 1. i had to confirm with Alex himself, you can take a look at my album to see what i mean i think i took pictures about that if still they are there. Hi John You can take a look here to have an idea of the build. lots of information: http://www.flightlinegraphics.com/projects/mreeves/reeves_main.htm and as suggested before you need at least a 1.20 4stroke and i think if the weight would come close to 13lbs at think will be marginal, a laser 1.50 would be best. but if would be me and it's Only my opinion, i think i would go with electric power. if you take a look at mick reeves website there's a picture of one converted with clipped wings an with a Turnigy 5055 motor on 5 or 6 cells, and i bet it will have tons of power. regards daniel
  12. Wow fats these look pretty amazing! And they are not that expensive either. Did you had to drastically modify the wing for there installation? Are they bolt on or you have to glue them permanently? Any photo's if possible? Regards Daniel
  13. Did you used hardwood dowels for the spoilers operation? I heard they have a tendency to pop out during flight because they flex a lot. Sorry to bother you with all these questions

  15. Is this tip stall a common problem on the mick reeves rf4, it's also a very violent one? I have a rf4 kit that i'm tempted to start soon after I finish my current projects, but sounds scary to fly already.

  18. i also start the engine by hand but sometimes i prime the engine with the aid of the kill switch on the transmitter, but now that i remember my kit build Acro wot has a narrow fuselage so the carb on the laser 80 is more protruding out from the fuselage side. power wise with the all up weight at 6lbs spot on is perfect . takeoffs are at a bit more than half throttle,plenty of power for aerobatics with plenty for reserve if needed, it's a perfect combination. I'm sure it will go well even with a old laser 75, in fact i was planning to use that one but when i realized that it weights just a bit less than the laser 80 i decided to use the 80. i dont remember what's the size of the prop but i used what's recommended from the laser engine instructions regards Daniel
