  1. Thanks to all of you you've been very helpfull I've chopped of the front, moved the lipo up against the bulkhead and am now moving the motor forward 10 m/m I'll let you know how it goes Phill
  2. Thanks again Mike my lipo sits under the wing where a former is so if I move it forward and rubber mount the motor that should do it I don't think it would have flown with the amount of lead I had in it and it would have wrecked a nice plane Phill.
  3. Hi Mike How did you manage to get it to come out right mine is way out and I tend to build light Phill
  4. Many thanks Mike I had one of the early ones with a c of g at 2 3/4 and the amount of lead was huge Phill
  5. thanks grumpy I still don't know if its upper or lower wing but from your reply I assume its upper Phill
  6. Hi this reply may be a little late but due to circumstances I've been unable to do any building, I've now completed my mini panic but confused as what wing to ballance it on . upper or lower it seems to need a lot of weight to ballance it on the upper wing thanks Phill
  7. Hi Many thanks for the info will check it out hopefully tonight, but with the current weather it's flying not simulating I hope to be doing. Thanks again Phill.
  8. Hi Having changed to 2.4ghz I am going to use my Futaba FF7 on my simulater this requires it to be in ppm mode, technical spec's in the manual say it is switchable between ppm & pcm how is this done as the manual doesn't explain HELP Phill.
  9. Been up the field today and checked out my AR 6200 full range with satelite I bought from Somerset who had 29 for sale, and after reading this thread got a bit worried,( I have two of these) did a range check O.K. disconnected RX batteries OK switched off TX then on again all this at a range of 50 yds.although they say made in CHINA on the back, I now assume they are O.K. (unless you know different) Phill.
  10. Hi everyone, CML have come through trumps, I phoned on friday and spoke to a young lady explained the situation she said they would get back to me, I thought yea yea as nobody ever seems to do,  TEN minutes later she phoned saying the model was discontinued but all paperwork was now in the post free of charge it arrived this morning how's that for service, I'd like to thank everyone for their help , and David for his wonderful memory, the cml paperwork states 7inches Erics formula worked out at 6.6 inches so I'll use Erics as a starting point or even between his and Edgars.   Thanks to everyone again Phill.
  11. Hi Edgar, mine are 11inches so they're near as dammit thanks.   Hi David I'll probably use Edgars plane as a starting point, if cml don't come through and you still have Julian Beckett the reviewers details cml produced an extra a4 sheet on setting up the cabane fixings to get the required incidence on the upper wing, Phill
  12. Thanks to you all for the input hopefully cml will come up trumps, Edgars plane is not a great deal of differance so I'll keep his measurments to hand, and I'll post the data for Eric if I get it off cml (this post is not finished yet). Edgar could you let me have your chord measurement please, Phill.
  13. Mr. Ashby sir you are a star, after checking my magazine 2006 special edition it appears to me that in every way this is my plane I've sent an email to cml hopefully they can help or maybe one of the very helpfull people on the website can,   to reply to biggles elder brother the finished weight is approx. 7.0 - 7.7kg so you'r right it's beefy.  I'll keep you informed on the outcome of my email.   Phill.
  14. Hi David, On further investigation you might be right but I can't find any marks on any of the formers and ther's a couple of things I'm not happy about that will have to be redone, the covering is either quite good or it'a artf I'm hopefully going to send some photos through( fingers crossed)the weight is 5kgs with no servos or engine,   Also thanks  to Eric for his sticky It's now stuck on the wall   Phill.
