  1. Hello Chris & Geoff Just finished my Sig 1/4 Scale cub yippee.  Finished but not flow, I powered it with an Os 120 Gemini Flat Twin for proper scale appearance and it does look and sounded the business.  It remains not flown primarily due to an engine seizer on set up so I am waiting for a OS 160 Gemini to arrive from the US as the Gemini mark 1 is obsolete and I am unable to obtain parts. My advice would be study the plans really well as some of the steps are not mentioned in the instruction book.  I used the method mention with the kit for the wing struts but it is a little fiddly and I can imagine loosing screws in the field!  On hindsight I would redesign the struts with swivels and quick release attachments to make life easier. They supply 4-40 bolts and captive nuts with the kit which you can source but again I would substitute these for metric before sealing them inside wings etc, just to make life easier and cheaper.I found the hardest part of the kit was getting a good finish when the glass cloth and resign/epoxy is used on the struts and under carriage, as a coat of paint doesn't hide lumpy resign so a lot of care in those crucial minutes saves sanding and filling.  If you are gifted in the glassing department you won’t suffer the hours of finishing I did! I covered the model in white Solartex and then sprayed a red and white starburst design before transfers and lacquer, she looks the business.  C of G is spot on from the building board. The list goes on but any questions give me a shout.Good luck Regards Dan

  6. Thanks David, I have spoken to Just Engines and their records go back as far as Ripmax, which is to the Gemini II.  Have also spoken to John Haytree who doesn't think the mark 2 con-rod can be fitted to the old crank.  Looking at the OS web site their records cover the FT-120 II Gemini II. Many thanks Dan
  7.  Hi to you all,I have been a fan of rotary & fixed wing modelling for a number of years, this is my first post. I have just finished building a 1/4 scale Sig Cub which has kept my busy through out the winter evenings. I bought a second hand OS 120 FT Gemini for £200, on the authority that it had run for about six hours!  Whilst setting up the engine on the plane it started first time with glow support and sounded awesome, took it down to idle, no problems went to mid throttle and the engine slowed and stopped.  I turned the prop by hand and felt resistance.  On stripping the motor it was found that one of the con-rods had seized on the crankshaft!!  I have found all the equivalent parts for the Gemini II but I don't know if they are compatible? Can any one help? Does anyone still have an old Parts list for the FT-120 Gemini?
