The carb spray bar should ideally be level with the tank centre line but I have found that somewhere within the tank is ok .I had a DB 1/4 pup with a laser 200 v twin .The tank was way above the carb but the engine ran fine if I didn’t fly inverted

Same for me I won’t get started on mine till next autumn now

I think I have the issues resolved now. I have inherited a largish numbers of Futaba Receivers. Why I am using 35 is another story, a bit boring. As I do have 2.4 Rx available.
I did not initially (for 5 minutes) that they are all Dual Conversion. I then recognised that I had no DC crystals. Although the Rx all had Rx crystals, except one that pots to selected channel. One that appears to have non (that it matters).
I decided to buy a pair, which began the subsequent saga.
Nothing seemed to work. Which I thought in itself was unlikely. I slowly realised that I needed to change the Tx to PPM. Still nothing worked.
It was then I discovered the Rx that you could select a Rx Channel. Now I knew that the (new) Rx crystal was the problem.
I was going to complain to the original Vendor about the faulty crystal. Looking to purchase from another vendor, I did a search, noticing that on EBay I could buy 10 on the same frequency. That is what i have done, I await the delivery of the package.
It is Hmmm a lot of years since I used 35, two 2.4 transmitters later, and it seems a poor memory of the 35 past, 27 is a foggy bit of history.
Thanks for all your efforts, I hope to finally finish this trilogy with a final message all is now in order.
Have you tried setting the tx to pcm ?

JR tx charging sockets are negative centre post, which is the reverse of normal, connect a normal charger and its a problem .There is probably a fuse as mentioned before .Have a look in the battery compartment , if its not there take the back off

Poly c is water based polyurethane floor varnish, so its not fuel proof .I second Jon 2 pack is the way to go but use a chemical proof face mask .These are usually available from auto paint suppliers .

Bill Manley of Bill kits makes nice foam wings, saves ages when building aerobatic models and perform well.He needs tip and root sections and a plan view

The 30% Toni Clark Tiger I used to own flew just right on a Zenoah 38 turning a 22 x 6 prop

Take a sharp Stanley knife, put the tube on the bench ,then put the blade on the tube at 90 degrees to the tube ,then roll the tube back and forward using the knife to power the roll .It takes practice to keep the blade on the right place

My choice for a follow on is the acrowot .Its easy to fly and especially easy to land and will do aerobatics well

I sold Bert the tiger because my knackered back wouldn’t cope with big models any more .I flew it for years on a zenoah 38 and it was great .The prop was scale size (22 6 ) It flew scale like in most conditions .It was a bit tricky in a force 5 wind though .

You can use an old fridge compressor (backwards) for vac bagging as well .The Edward’s pump would be a bit powerful

The original gangster 63 was great on an os 61 rf pumper its vertical performance was off the scale .If I did one today I would go for an os 91 surpass. I did modify the model to a tail dragger to accommodate the tuned pipe for the rf pumper
