This makes it a lot easier to show. Tried to cover the cheeks while they were on the plane but ended up getting annoyed and throwing them across the room in a rage I then carefully ripped them off and covered them seperately I have regained all sanity lost now! -
I was looking through the handbook and this is what I found: "A person shall not cause or permit any article or animal (whether or not attached to a parachute) to be dropped from a small unmanned aircraft so as to endanger persons or property" Page 15 article 166 (1) Does this then mean I can legally hook my cat meg to my plane and drop it, so long as I do it in a safe (to any human bystanders) manner and avoid damaging property? I wonder how many children will sellotape a parachute to their pet hamster! My dad mentioned that old childrens TV program with all the guiney pigs and that one who supposedly went up in that radio controlled plane Peter

Hmm, 100 miles, I don't think that is going to happen!

Is this 'safety' just being added on to all the other bits of legislation we have to follow? I mean the ones past the sensible one, like the BMFA reg that says you are not permitted to put a live animal on your model aircraft... -
Awesome! Wish I could go up in a plane

In my helicopter flying, I have had no professional input (Buddy boxxing, training etc) whatsoever except for rcgroups, I was lucky enough to have my gyro set perfectly out of the box and I am a natural engineer so I managed to work out how to maintain it pretty quickly. As long as you are holding the heli secure, I don't see why you couldn't do it, it's how I first set up my tracking, having my dad hold it and I spin up the rotors to about half throttle
-
Is there anything wrong with the gyro? looks alright to me,is the tracking right? I found thatgave me quite a lot of vibration which could be causing the funnelling effect Heres one to get your disbelief levels up! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2RKLggne0E

After coming back to my hirobo lama sky robo heli charger, I discovered my second battery still attached! when I finally managed to source a multimeter, I discovered each cell was at about 0.5 volts :s I had read on this forum somewhere of someone who left a lipo plugged into his plane overnight and overdrained it at low current and thought I would have a go! When I plugged it into the charger to try and charge it, all it did was flash an error. I made some charging wires for it, out of some 0.1 inch header plugs, then plugged it into my old nicad charger put on the lowest charge setting (0.9 amps is still a bit high) for about 6 minutes and it went from 1v all the way up to 7.3v. I will point out that this was done outside, on the concrete patio, on some roofing tiles with a fire extinguisher to hand. I then switched over to my other lipo charger and charged the rest of it on 0.5 amps until it was fully charged. I have now found that it works perfectly alright and works on the original charger! A very relieved Peter Savage! P.S at £15 I was not going let it go without a fight! And I might just put it in with our other lipos in the lipo safe after this just in case!Edited By Peter 'Servo Scrounger' Savage on 26/05/2010 15:19:41
