  1. Thanks for the reply David, the AS3X being the possible culprit is interesting, I will scout around the net for more info,...certainly makes sense as it is noted on other airframes. Regards Mike
  2. Finally got my Carbon Z yesterday evening so shot straight home with it and put it together. A very good build quality, everything going together well apart from the motor onto the bulk head. I found the screws very, very difficult to dive home, in fact I had to give them quite a bit of persuasion!! All done in around the suggested three hour mark, and the first flight was earlier this evening, and what a first flight! I have never had one where no trim is needed! The only thing of note was a slight 'flutter' of the tail plane and elevators at full chat. Back off the throttle to three quarters and no problems! After that first flight I can understand why E-Flite put it under their 'Trainer' section! Regards Mike
  3. Need a bit of advice please....got a Carbon z coming soon and have a six cell lipo for it. I also have 2 other batteries that are 3 cell lipo's but are different 'c' ratings, my question is 'can these be combined into a 6 cell. I could charge them sepperately ?
  4. Thanks for the method Stevo, ...and for the warning Kc!! Kind regards Mike
  5. Hi everybody!, as requested here are a few pictures of my engine and carb:
  6. As the title suggests, how do I fit my carb onto my engine?. New in the box the carb was in a separate bag? This is my first look at an IC engine for many, many years! kind regards Mike
  7. All my models fit in my Dodge Ram!
  8. Thanks for the replies everybody,..just back from London so will try in the morning. Cheers! kind regards Mike
  9. I have a little bit of a newbie question here, I have got a charger that I really don't understand how to operate, even after reading the instructions many times. It is a 'Fusion Elysium Pro'. Can any body tell me how to connect the battary (Art tech li po 1300mah, 11.1v, 3 cell), do I just connect by using the balance plug, or by the balance plug and the batt power lead? Your advice will be much apreciated. kind regards Mike
  10. Thanks for the reply guys, I will relay the info! Cheers! kind regards Mike
  11. Hi Josip, Cheers!,...the beer was 'all grain' brewed to my own recipe and the bittering hops and the flavour hops where 'Citra', grown in Navada U.S.A. As you can see from my pictures I need to spend more time building and flying, rather than brewing! Kind regards Mike
  12. This is a strange one to me, but then again my experience is not great. Two friends of mine have noticed that after flying their planes (Critical mass and a Husban motorized glider) that the motors on both planes seem to be harder to turn manually. After cooling for a few hours things seem to go back to normal. I am at a loss to explain to them the reason for this. Is it possible that they are running the motors to hard? Looking forward to your thoughts! Regards Mike
  13. Hi guys, as an e-bay shop owner in the past you my find this interesting. As a shop owner (on e bay) we have various fourums on e-bay to discuss selling stuff. The proof of posting from the Post Office' won't save you at all. Many cases where seller has this and Ebay still force a refund to the customer. Some sellers say they think they are targeted by the same group of buyers!
  14. I seem to have lost the text a little in the above post. I have noticed that quite a few of us modelers are also into astronomy, if you are one of them then try www.cloudynights.com regards Mike
  15. Here is my shed,...as you can see, it is 'multi-hobby'!!!...
  16. Thanks Pete B-, I thought that might be the case, no probs I can buy the wot 4 with the same spec less reciver. Thanks for fast reply.
  17. I have just seen a wot 4 complete with Futaba FHSS receiver included. My Futaba TX is a T6ex (FASST) can anybody tell me if they will work together please? Regards Mike
  18. Roy, thanks for putting fingers to the key board! you and your shop sound like just the place that most of us would like to visit, it is obvious that you understand customer service because people such as "Crosstown Tee" are willing to travel large distances for your service. Looking through this thread again it appears that a large group of people are reaching for the 'net because a significant number of shop owners don't understand that the important thing is 'service, service, service!' Although I have not visited your shop I feel that if I was in your area I certainly would. Thank you for being there and making a difference. Regards mike
  19. You have given me inspiration to clear my shed! First time posting picks so sorry for the orientation of some of them!...shed now tidy!, balsa shavings, dust and old ARTF boxes gone! regards mike   Edited By Michael Wright on 08/01/2014 13:50:48
