    Mode 1   North West of England   North West of England   Instructor.   It might have been interesting to have had a couple of other questions too.   5. How long ago. Most RTF models are Mode 2, so many recent converts will be Mode 2.   6. Power model or Glider - Most of the old 2 channel proportional radios were Mode 1 as they only had single action sticks, so many older flyers who learned on gliders would have learned Mode 1.   David
