Buy one, it'll keep Alan happy. Whenever i speak to him on the phone, it seems to last for ages, Im sure he's sub contracted out by the phone company to empty my wallet in more ways than one. Was there not a rumour that he was thinking about retiring? If that's the case, maybe we'd all better buy some replacements now.

I have the 46, my dad has the 60, they're both excellent, & had a WT before that. In club combat sessions, the 60" has proved to be a hard one to bring down, but does not turn quite so quickly as the smaller Fusion and the Venoms. I bought mine because everyone else in the club has Venoms, and combat could get pretty interesting on those dull days. Trouble now is they're all determined to knock my 'fin' off, lol.Edited By Timbo - Moderator on 26/03/2009 22:33:08

I've been wondering how long it would take for this to happen. I've had mine for 12 months now, and have loved every minute of it. I flew it yesterday until sunset, which proved difficult considering the colour scheme.... Its been recovered once, and now has an orange wingtip, but is standing up to its weekly abuse quite well. And heres the one Andy Ellison kindly snapped and featured in RCM&E.

Blue Foam supplier?
Shaun Brogdon replied to Shaun Brogdon's topic in Gliders and Gliding - General Discussion
How could you tell? Ive got a few lost foam fuses for PSS and a plank in the pipeline, and want to crack on with my Jart. Long time no see BTW, are you getting much time up here lately? Theres been some excellent flying recently with all these NW winds. Thanks for the balsamart tip, will take a look, Shaun, stuck in with the baby watching the wind folding my privet over -
Hello all, does anyone have any idea where i can source good quality 'blue foam' or extruded polystyrene for wings and fuses? Ive had a ratch on the net for an idea of prices, but cant seem to find any information. If anyone has any going spare, please let me know. Thanks, Shaun

Home brew phase 6 flying wing
Shaun Brogdon replied to Shaun Brogdon's topic in Gliders and Gliding - General Discussion
Sorry for the spell off, been too busy flying Im just getting ready to cut a set of foam cores for the model, using the PW51 section. I managed to locate the spare fuse i have, only to find its a middle phase and not a 6 fuse, this shouldnt be a problem. I'll end up modifying it from its current band on wing guise though. Now where did i put that hacksaw...... -
Thanks Timbo, I really appreciate that, I think I might take you up on that offer, Ill be in touch, Shaun

I'm thinking about popping along to one of the Gt Orme events, but was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on the best way to get there. Getting to Llandudno from Cumbria isnt the problem, I was wondering if I follow my TomTom and stay on the A55 until the turn off for the A470, or turn of B5115 Brompton Ave, Llandudno Rd, the Parade. From there, do i go around the North or south side of Marine Dr, anti-clockwise or clockwise, whichever way you look at it. It would probably be September when I could attend, my event calendar this year is pretty full. Any help would be appreciated, Cheers, Shaun

Home brew phase 6 flying wing
Shaun Brogdon replied to Shaun Brogdon's topic in Gliders and Gliding - General Discussion
Erfolg, the t tail probably wouldnt be something I would use, I just liked this design and thought it best to include some piccys to get people thinking down the same lines as I am. I also like the NCFM Moth, and this has inspired me also My current phase 6 has a chunk of lead taped to the front of the battery, not too much though, i like them twitchy.
