yes your right I stared at this for some time last night, I fitted the servo where the bellcrank would have been expecting no problems but has you say it would require either a very tall servo horn or some clever cranking of the rod, might try the servo in the other way up. Yes the crank support is fitted to plan. Did the plane have linkages from top to bottom wing controls on the full size? or is this some thing built into the model? if I message my email address have you any pictures of yours love to see them?

Cheers fella.

Ok then, anyone seen, flown, built these

I tried a swing wing some time ago and found it was to weak at the wing pivot points. I have not looked how they have constructed this one, to many bad memories of trying to do it strong enough. Myron, I have a hawk body I am about to play with what did you find bad? -
Currently building a Sopwith Pup, the aircraft kit uses a lot of linkages I would prefere to installed 4 midi servos in the wings. Any body done this? will there be a problem running 2 servo's from 1 output on the rx?

What do you mean? who is dean. Oh yes I see Handforth DEAN DERRRRRRR Its near Manchester Airport (Wilmslow Cheshire) -
Andy, you come from different planet yes? High Alpha Knife Edge down to 5m, If the model is losing height all the way its easier to KE. saying that to me is like me asking the Mrs to service the Volvo!! Thanks very much for advice mate but english please, I always check CG before flying and probaly thats a lot of the problem to many patch ups on front has left half a ton of lead on the back, very heavy now great in winds though. Your up early are you a milk man?

One of the best laughs I ever had was watching my electric trainer come down after fitting an undersized ESC with bec, The smoke made the whole thing seem realistic and of course I had no control because it was a bec system. I just wish I had a video cam at the time then I could have recorded my farther shouting DEAD ENGINE and running for cover. Six months later I still have tears in my eyes laughing while thinking bout it. Cost me a day glueing and 40 quid in eletrics but It was worth it.

Does any one know which club or people use the flying field near handforth dean, I can see there has been a lot of effort put into the grass strip and I would like to get into the club responsible. I spoke to some guys flying heli's last year while down there but I was not into things flying then. Any pointers please. Thanks Paul

My experience flying models is still very much developing, I was wondering if I could beg some advice on slowing things down for landing. The one nitro plane I have is battered and bruised from heavy landings every time its patched up it gets heavier and I cant get the hang of using rudder to slow down. Whats the best way to scrub off airspeed quickly?

A word to the wise, 90mm EDF Fan arrived today from the land of the sun and I decided I may as well build my own rig save troubling Timbo for testing. (thanks for your kind offer)I I copied his design except I fancied it to be more versatile IE; stick a plane on it instead of just fan or motor. I had a load cell that's measures pull, so to save buying digital scales I fitted that behind the pivot arm. Anyway 4 hours of sawing and swearing later I wired up the fan and run it up. I had to shut down at 25% and spent the next 10 minutes picking up all the tools it had rattled off the bench. It was suffering serious vibration. I pulled it apart and discovered the impeller was running out .020"! That's .5 of a millimeter. Far from being just a balance problem. I should have thrown it in the bin but being a tight ar++ I drilled it out clearance and set it on the shaft using a finger clock managed to get it within 002". Back on the rig it was more than happy to rev up 100% in fact very smooth. I did one run and the result was a max 2.7lbs. I am more than pleased it should fly the foamy (AUW no more than 2lbs). The test was done on a 3s 2200amh 25c li-po.No meter readings as yet will try to find time tomorrow. The point here is unless you have some good engineering skills and equipment the £24 fan would have been useless. It can not have been tested before selling. You get what you pay for. Still back on schedule for a flying hawk under £75.

If the job keeps coming up buy yourself a knurling tool, they come with various types of wheels so you could try out different patterns.

Can any one help, I have rescued a dusty biplane kit out of my fathers attic. Its made by a company called Flair Products. A scout series Puppeteer based on the navy version of the sopwith pup biplane. I have no idea how old it is or if its going to make a decent model the biggest problem I have is the lack of instructions. The drawings are all there as are the bits and pieces. Any input please. Thanks, Paul,
