Tony Smith 7
Hi, I've been offered a transmitter complete with Futaba "TW-FM" 35MHz RF module, but the seller can't tell me anything except that it doesn't use crystals. Its pretty difficult to find out more, Futaba doesn't seem to publish manuals for their modules. What they do publish is on their US web site in any case so refers solely to US specific products (and in the US they're not allowed interchangeable crystals in any case). Can anyone tell me if the TW-FM module is a fixed channel, or is it synthesised so that the channel is changed by setting switches? Thanks in advance. David Ashby - Moderator
My TW-FM needs a crystal Tony - here a pic, you can see the slot. I would assume a synth version would have a different label but someone else may be able to confirm?
Tony Smith 7
Thanks, I think the seller's maybe just mistaken. I was worried it was a fixed-channel module like they have in the US, that would be no use to me. A synthesised module would be great, but I can live with crystals.
