Myron Beaumont Posted June 29, 2010 Share Posted June 29, 2010 'er indoors has taken her Del laptop to the wilds of Yorkshire with her .For two days,everytime she has switched on it says "logging off" & the little circle in the middle of the screen keeps going round & round . She doesn't have any sort of contact numbers with her so phoned me to put this out on the forum knowing how knowledgeable you are .Any advice I can pass on please ? Tim Mackey Posted June 29, 2010 Share Posted June 29, 2010 Sometimes, mine doesnt shut down correctly if any external USB devices are still plugged in - such as bluetooth dongles, external HDDs , gumcams etc. Try unplugging any such devices. Grahamd Posted June 29, 2010 Share Posted June 29, 2010 After the Cold shutdown, if it still happens pres F8 and start it in safe mode. I have just found out from the local shop that there was actually a power surge which caused his tils to crash at about the same time as well Eric Apparently she had tried your procedure to start with .Thanks anyway .
