Mike Cotterill
Hi I'm trying to fit the cowl neatly on the Seagull edge 540 - 120 size kit. But to get the spinner back plate in the middle of the cowl means that the cowl is resting on the top of the firewall mount. Would it be OK to sand the corners to allow the cowl to drop down slighttly ? or Should I just accept that the spinner will have to reside offset downwardsby 1/4" (this also allows the panel lines from the cowl / fuselage to align more accurately) Anyone else built one of these ? David Ashby - Moderator
I'm being a bit slow visualising that, got a pic Mike? Sometimes you can get away with a few mm out and it's not really noticable unless you know about it....if you know what I mean.
Mike Cotterill
The cowl rests on the front edge of the extended firewall where the engine mount is bolted - while not quite being low enough for the spinner to be in the centre of the front of the cowl.
