Peter Dallimore
Morning All. I've recently found an old diesel engine in my loft but cannot find ANY supplier of tanks suitable for diesel fuel. You can get fuel tubing OK but not tanks. Tried PAW but no joy. I understand glow tanks can be used but apparantly diesel fuel attacks the rubber bung. Any assistance would be gratefully received.Peter

Mike Bell
For small diesels (1cc or so) I have used Humbrol enamel tins. Clean the tin with Nitromors then pierce the lid and the bottom to accept brass tubing which is soldered in. I fill the tank via the feed tube. This will keep a small diesel running for 5 minutes plus.
Peter Dallimore
Thanks guys for response. My soldering skills have been mislaid over the years so I think Just Engines might be the answer. Thanks again.
