Simon Chaddock
In a very restricted space the servo wires to the radio were a bit too long so I proceeded to disassemble their connectors, shorten the wires appropriately, and because I am mean, solder the wires back on, re-crimp the strain relief and reassembly the connectors. Rather fiddly but with care it works fine. However today after shortening its wire the elevator servo did not work.Put another servo directly on CH2 on the radio and it worked fine.Ran an external servo cable to the elevator servo - it did not work Put another servo on the external cable - it worked fine so the elevator servo must have failed.Replaced the elevator servo with the original wire but it did not work either Careful inspection quickly revealed the problem. I had reversed a + & - wire on a connector - Idiot! In fact double idiot because in identifying the problem I wrecked two (fortunately very cheap) servos! Moral. If you disassemble a connector double check before testing. Edited By Simon Chaddock on 29/03/2011 19:31:

birdy
Its as good as when I built two left sides, so I disassembled one carefully and carefully built it the same again. Doh!
