Doug Ireland
Hi guys.Is it possible to plug the battery via switch harness into the "bind" port of this Rx? The reason I'm asking is I want to be able to Bind through the harness (if needed in the future) without ripping the model apart to get at the Rx.Cheers,Doug. Doug Ireland
Just noticed the thread title, it should read AR600. The Spectrum one.
Peewhit
Hi Doug, The battery via a switch harness is usually plugged into the battery/bind port anyway. Binding the Rx is posssible using the switch battery charge plug, providing that the switch is a three wire one such as a genuine JR harness. A harness with just two wires on the charge plug (eg Futaba or equivalent) can not be used to bind the Rx. Use a genuine JR switch harness and try it before final assembly. Doug Ireland
Hi Peewit and thanks for the reply. The instructions for this Rx are a bit vague and it seems that you can't plug the battery into the bind port. I was wondering if anyone knew why. Oh, and I do use the three-wire switches.Doug. Peewhit
Hi Doug, Having looked at the instructions for the AR600 , the battery/bind port is labeled as "bind/data". Even the manual also refers to it as a battery/bind port . Just plug your JR switch harness into the "bind/data" port and all should be well. Alan Bahia
Doug, Yes, you can use a on/off harness connect to your battery and connected to your batt/bind port at the receiver. harness option Every time you want to bind just plug the bind plug on the harness charging port. cheers, Alan Edited By Alan Bahia on 16/04/2011 00:24:
Doug Ireland
Hi Guys, This is the first Spectrum Rx I've used, normally I buy JR's own ones and it says quite clearly on the Rx "Bat/Bind". After initially binding the a Rx on the bench just by using the bind plug, I then use the switch harness once the Rx is in the model.
