How convenient the output the output of a switch mode UBEC is also 5V. Connected the input of the UBEC to a solar panel, and the output to the phone, free charging. Can also be connected to any other source between 5.5V and 26V, car battery, 24V truck battery. The management was impressed with the possible uses of model aeroplane parts!
