Two things that struck me on the report, they said "the helicopter could be salvaged, but they would not be able to fly it away today" The bother thing was the fact that the pilot landed it (dead stick) in a residential area, with no injuries on the ground, or the six occupants. In a place where you wouldn't expect high levels of maintenance or training, well done to him! They lost one of their jet trainers last week too, so not a good week for them.
