Paul Marsh
Found out that the full-size Pitts S12 called "The Beast" crashed in an airshow in Kansas last weekend. Both pilot and aircraft were killed. Looks like it went into a deep stall/spin, and tried to recover. Bryan had plenty of height and kept trying to bring it out of the stall. The knowlageble commentator knew he "had lost control" as soon it had started to get into difficulty. Of course, there are two rc models of the aircraft, a BNF Park fly version and a large scale version. I wonder if someone would bring out a smaller 50 and 120 size version. To keep the beast partnership alive at the flying fields... RIP to Bryan Jenson and his "Beast".
Cyclicscooby
Very sad... I dont know if its better or worse, that he died whilst flying for a crowd.. ?! Suppose he was doing what he loved.. Heart goes out to the family.. As per the Red Arrow pilot.. Great loses to the industry.. Luv Chrisie.. xx
Paul Marsh
I believe they died in a place of their passion - flying. Also entertaining for the crowds, as with any pilot. Like Red 4, the cause will be found. Today a picture of Red 4 prior to crashing shows a bright light. A clue, perhaps? Paul
