DX7 Warranty/repair

Hi all,
yesterday evening I was preparing all my gear to go fly this am and found out that my DX7 after being charged with a wall charger died.
I swapped the stock battery with another one that I had but nothing changed - the screen stays completely blank.
I bought it 15months ago, my question is
Is it worth to send it to horizon even if the warranty expired 3month ago?
am I better off buying a new one right away?

IT WAS THE FUSE!!
 
the stock one was 3amp rated and I only found a 2 amp one in my local hardware shop
It might blow again during charging but at least it ll save the main circuits
