denco 1
Can someone please tell me what is the recommended requirements, as opposed to the minimum, for operating Phoenix on a laptop. I want to ensure that i can get optimum performance from my sim. without any unneccessary hiccups.
John Cole
Try running their demo. This should give you an idea: http://www.phoenix-simv3.com/demo.asp
Tom T
I run it on an i5 intel core processor, 750gb and 7ram. I can run it on full spec (quality) and it runs really smooth. I would say most computers would run it! John is right, try downloading the demo :D
denco 1
Thanks for your replies lads. Am i right in assuming that you mean run the download on a laptop? If so, this is what i am trying to quantify. I have the sim on my PC, and am going to purchase a laptop, thus wanting to make sure that i get one with the right spec. to make sure it runs ok. As i said in the initial post, Phoenix give minimum reqs, not recommended ones, which is where i am confused.
avtur
Have just gone through this myself, I am a Mac person when it comes to computers, the only 'wintel pc' I have access to is my works laptop. I wanted to be sure that it would run Phoenix before buying it .I did as others have suggested and downloaded the demo onto the laptop; it worked fine so I bought Phoenix and the full program works fine. For info the laptop spec is Intel i5 - 2.4ghz, 4GB ram, Windows 7 64 bit. I'v just searched to find out about its video card, but I can't find out what is. If someone can tell me where to look I'll find out what it is and post back.
