Anthony Billings
Hi all, for those of you that have looked in in my Super 60 build, you will know that I have completed the tail, fin and rudder and I am 90% through the fuse. All I have left to do is the cowl and engine bay cheeks, the instructions state that the next thing to do is attach the fin and dorsal fin, so my question is is it better to cover the fin and dorsal fin before attaching to the fuse or leave the covering till the end ? Cheers Tony
Steveflys
Hi Anthony, From my experience it's much easier to cover things like Fin's, rudders, elevators etc before attaching to the airframe. Don't forget to remove any covering that will be glued to the airframe. Hope this helps. Steve
Anthony Billings
Cheers Steve, I thought that was the way to go, but as the instructions said fit before covering I thought I would check with other trad builders. Tony
Bob Cotsford
I've always glued everything together before starting covering, it's easier to get invisible joints that way. Maybe it's a hang-up from covering in tissue, nylon and dope.
