bouncebounce crunch
Thanks Martin, I've been telling the wife I'm a modeller, so if she sees this what excuse can i give for when i go to the shed ? she'll be asking what im really up to. Great job all those little details really to make models stand out and i enjoyed every photo, but the disc brake shot with the paint chipping on the undercarriage had me. Nice and five stars from me. bbc.

Martin Harris - Moderator
Thanks both, It's details like this that I find give real satisfaction to make - the effort probably can't be justified in practical terms - few people actually notice the details (present company excepted - and I also really enjoyed making the leaf sprung tailwheel BTW) - but to me, it's what modelling is all about. And probably why my scale models all seem to come out on the heavy side! I must admit that I've toyed with making some functional brakes for the model (co-incidence here with your latest thread, Chrisie!) but haven't quite managed to justify/find the time...one day, when I'm retired perhaps? Hobbyking actually had what looked like the basis for some proper hydraulic brakes but my enquiries were never answered and now they are out of stock anyway...
