Steve Houghton 1
Has anyone tried the RC-AirSim app for the iPhone? I've just downloaded it and had a go and man, it isn't easy. You get a 40 sized trainer to start off with and then other models cost 69p each thereafter. The model is positioned on the runway and you have the usual 2 sticks on 4 channels but, its very twitchy and I find myself looking at how far down or up I'm moving the throttle, then when I glance up again I find I'm almost about to crash. I'm sure it could be a bit of fun once you get the hang of it but I can only handle it in small doses at the moment as I find it a bit frustrating. Chris Bott - Moderator
Well I've downloaded it now Steve. I'm finding the lack of position feedback from the sticks very unhelpful. I'm getting on best though if I wind the throttle up to full and take my thumb off it. Then just fly on the right stick, (mode 2).
Alan B
Hi Steve Is that the RC Plane 2 Sim?. If it is then yes it is a bit twitchy and tends to over control. You will find it easier to control the plane with your finger tips and not your thumbs. As you say its just a matter of getting the hang of it. If you scrole through the aircraft there is a mustang for free as well as the trainer. KR Al
Nick Williams
I've got the Absolute RC Simulator for iPhone, I think its made by the same people who make Clearview, it's ok nothing more or less in my opinion. Nick
