Welshboy Posted October 12, 2012 Share Posted October 12, 2012 HiTurnigy 9x stock setup does have mode 4. The frsky module does fit but depending on when you bought them there may be a little surgery required. The latest 9x comes with a plastic moulding around the pins in the module socket which requires trimming off to allow the module to sit properly. The easiest way to do this by removing the back then removing the circuit board in the back half of the transmitter and just dremeling the lump off. Sounds a lot worse than it is . Since the initial problems with quality control I have not seen or heard of any problems especially when used with frsky. The supplied firmware does not make life easy though, and I would really recommend upgrading to one of the free firmwares available at 9xforums.com Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Solderless adapter for adding telemetry through the main display is on it's way aswell. I have a spare borderless upgrade board available if any is interested.
