VQ AT-6 Texan

I have recently purchased a VQ AT-6 Texan-Castrol.First inspection of contents, quality for the money seems excellent. However, one problem I found was that the engine cowl seemed too short. Instructions state that distance from the firewall to front of cowl should be 107mm. Problems is the cowl is only 90mm long. Thinking that an incorrect cowl had been supplied, I contacted Slough Radio Control Models to see if they could open another kit and measure the cowl for me. They were very obliging, but they did not have a kit in stock to check. Have any of RCM&E readers got one of these models that they can measure the cowl for me to see if the kit has been supplied with an incorrect cowl, or if it is just a common fault

Thank you. Terry Honey
