the unmagnificent man
Having just posted a picture on the VQ Hurricane build of the"shelf mates" i realised that I would have to create a new thread so the 109 didn't hi jack the thread. Here it is just after I bought and painted it. and here it is these days I've built my own exhausts added guns added a metal looking rivet detailed cockpit canopy rounded off the originally flat underside of the fuselage given an aerofoil section to the originally flat tailfin and stab totally rearranged the wheel wells and put the wheels in a more original position added an ariel (not in the pic) added a more scale (ish) rear tail wheel (instead of a wire) added machine gun bulges under the wings added radiators under the wings and chopped the wings to add working flaps. I then painted it in the Adolf Galland paint scheme with 2 hand drawn "Mickey Mouse images" So not much of the original left...... UMM Edited to make the image clickable for folk to see it bigger Edited By Chris Bott - Moderator on 09/07/2013 14:01:

Ruprect Spode
You have done very well Mr Unmag. Is there a possibility of a scale spinner to set it off nicely?

the unmagnificent man
Bill Working on a Mustang now, pics soon Ruprect I believe the spinner was black and green with a gun in the centre. Unfortunately with my special technique to landing it would just keep filling with mud/soil etc. Ha ha, maybe one day! BBC Nice, cheers for that. Here is what I managed..... Please note that this is a zoomed in image I just took from the above picture.
Mark Reynolds
I like the paint job. Nice. Did you paint on your own unit markings or print them etc?
