David Ashby - Moderator
Nice pics guys , sorry to see that Filip bent - I had the 600 and it was a tough old beast so that must have come down with a wallop to do that. Fingers crossed for decent weather next time.
Tim Mackey
Actually no it did not. It was only about 3 foot off the deck, intending to either land or do slow pass I am not sure which - when the pilot in a brief moment of indecision ( a girlie moment he called it ) decided to try and go round again, and opened the tap but it lacked the thrust to get away and stalled....tumbled in a bit IYKWIM but not fast or violent at all. The fus is very thin at the break point, but he will soon have her fixed - broke the wing dowel and another small bit but not too serious. Besides...we reckon it will turn around the corners faster now in that shape!

David Ashby - Moderator
I like than FunJet colour scheme .....called mad cow?
Tim Mackey
Nah...the foamy Delta thing I am holding is the "Holy Cow" a superfly from flying wings.co.uk. The crazy coloured funjet belongs to our chairman ( the one who broke his filip ) and the guy holding it jsut turned up to watch, although he is an active member of our club. He is actually the guy who did this lovely model featured in the gallery recentlymiss gussettThe funjet goes like the absolute clappers wuith a 2 turn mega motor I think it is. Vertical rolls out of sight.
Andy Sayle
Hi folks! Just found these pictures, very nice indeed. The funjet scheme was coined the "Atomic Cow" scheme. very bright on the ground, but surprisingly easy to blend into light skys! Luckily the black and white stripes on the underside stand out pretty well I suppose. It actually has a Mega 16/15/4 motor in it, turning a 5.5x4.5 prop at around 20amps or so off of a 3s lipo. It goes even fast with a 6x6 prop on it As for the Filip, then it was indeed a girlie moment! All mended now (if a little "agricultural looking") and awaiting another flight, this time with double the power! The fuselage on the Filip 400 is surprisngly thin. Very light, but a bit ont he fragile side for my liking. Still, the crash rubbed the newness off nicely!T'was a good day none-the-less!Andy
