  1. The Bean is a great flying model well worth the building niggles, Its a trad british kit, there is some builder thinking and adaptation required but isnt that half the enjoyment making it your own. Theres enough people that have built and flown them over the years, get it built work through your niggles and enjoy flying a great retro pattern model. BB
  2. Mine still hasnt arrived so i guess its not going to, BB
  3. Mine still hasnt arrived, only slightly annoyed. BB
  4. Posted by Lee Smalley on 05/01/2015 21:27:26: and BB yes you are correct the review is for a flight controller that could be used in other things than a quad...but really ......come on it is still for quads, and will 99% of the time be used as such! *Multirotor And thats why the review was based around a multirotor set up, also made the unit more photogenic, in a fixed wing it would be buried in the inner depths. BB
  5. For referance the review I wrote, was not a review of the quad it was a review of the flight controler/OSD system that can be used on both quad or fixed wing as detailed in the words. BB
  6. I filmed the above vid, and competed along side Nando at last years EIM.   Although please watch my original vid and not the copied on above. really dose wind me up that   His flying is trully stunning and to watch live if out of this world. Nando won the aeromusical comp at EIM 2013 (but I beat him in freestyle hehe) what you cant tell in the vid is the 100 leds on the plane that dance in time to the music as well.   I urge anyone with a sight intrest in this king of flying to make the effort to go to EIM2014 this Feb in Bradford and watch the best from the UK once again take on Europes top boys     BB Edited By Barnesyboy on 19/11/2013 15:03:29 Edited By Barnesyboy on 19/11/2013 15:06:06
  7. Got some LED`s on my DJI F450 last night so it was rude not to try them wasnt it BB
  8. I was just responing and didnt make a personal atack on anyone. We see the same thing every year people moaning about Weston Park, we also see people who didnt even go to the show moaning not sure how that works. BB

  15. I was there flying for the 2 days in the indoor area, and the first thing I want to say is a huge well done to Josh James and Danny G-E, for ones so young they flew in a mature safe mannor all weekend and made my life really easy (being the oldest flier there on Saturday morning I kinda took the mantle of Display organisor lol). Ive read comments above of more variaty needed, would have liked to have seen this that and the other. Well from my point of view I traveled from Rhyl North Wales, brought 105 charged lipos 4 models and a smile, paid for my own fuel, food drink and acomidation, if others are willing to do this they could have flown too. Whilst I agree more variaty would have been good but I/we could only put in the air what was availible. Saturday there was a beautifull F1D model that I made sure got in the air every time the pilot wanted to (5-6 times if I remeber corectly) but yet Saturday evening I heard rumours of unrest that people wanted to fly there slow fly models. Sunday morning I made the point quite clear to all that would listen that I would ground the boys and myself when anyone else wanted to fly and asked several times throught the day but guess what they went quiet then didnt they. Saturday I was asked several times by the spectators about helicopters, as im sure the BMFA were to, I dont know what they did about it but I walked over to the Bury MFC stand and asked there resident pro Richard Budd if he wanted to fly, he nearly bit my hand off and Sunday arrived with 2-3 helis and put on some very good demos. Truth is I expected many of the requlars from the BMFA Rochdale indoor flyins that are very oversubscribed normaly but not a one. Was the event publisised there over the winter???? As Andy said there were alot of people wanting a go and Andy did his best on the Sunday. My personal opinon on this is the BMFA need to see HH and get a job lot of vapours for this type of event so people can get a taste of the action. 5mins for 1 pound on the cars, the BMFA would have cleaned up! Anyway I really enjoyed myself flew so many tmes I lost count and spent far to much money all for the love of the game BB
  16. Cheers Mate, was good to see you both again this weekend, its been far to long brother BB
  17. Thats the best pic of my Hybrid Disney to date, Tell Glenn its awsome. BB
  18. Lots of pics showing up on the EIM Facebook pages for those of you on it https://www.facebook.com/groups/121956881191211/471533372900225/?notif_t=group_comment_reply yes yes I know read the how to put a link on blah blah blah, I promise I will one day BB
  19. Yeah was an awsome weekend again, EIM is the best show/comp of the year, every year. Nandos Aeromusical both days was stunning, such a tallent and a heck of a nice lad to, Derk`s 6min AM is also awsome very inspiring. The home based tallent also showed there hand with Connor Stephensons Katie Ann Whitehead Mamorial Flight well up there with the best the Europians have to offer, Little Josh James is a huge tallent in the making in both shedules and 3d (star of the show for me). Steve Gerrards Heli demos were top draw. Every Class was a close battle and very enjoyable to be a part of. Best bit for me was banter, great laugh with all the guys for home and abroud. People helping rival competitors out right from the off, with repairs and tips, just a great atmosphere.   I may need to up my game to make the hatrick in Freestyle next time.   BB Edited By Barnesyboy on 25/02/2013 15:58:28
  20. Not quite sure why you said canceled 3 times in bold iawnski, seems abit strange to me ahh well. I had a good afternoon watching the masters as work while my Le Fsh stayed warm in the van. must have been 20 + fliers there and plenty of models, and most of all a good crack. BB
  21. PB models are now on Facebook if you require any info on the kits BB
  22. Looks to me like £105 differance so say £20 for a roll of covering 80 quid saving will buy you all the servos. I would say a desent saving Lee. My thread may seem like there alot to do but no more than a moldie I would say apart from the covering (if you cover at all, 2 coats of varnish could be done in no time) and yes I am making a right meal of it!
  23. I went with "Im the one", but to be honest it depends on the day BB
