Spikey Posted June 12, 2013 Share Posted June 12, 2013 A one metre length is 96p from the local hobbys shop and it's pretty awful stuff. A pack of 100 bamboo barbeque skewers from Morrisons costs £1. The usable length of each one is 25cm, so x100 gives you 25 metres. Even if you allow for 20% of them being not up to scratch for our purposes, you've still got 20 metres of nice round 3mm hardwood dowel for a quid ...
