David Ridgeon
Hi Guys I decided on the Travelair in the end and i am part way through assembly. I am so loathed to cut into that shiny new covering to beef up the undercarriage mounting, but i know its got to be done as so many have had problems in this area. I have an Irvine 46 ready to go in it. So many metal pushrods? Thanks for all your feedback

flytilbroke
Nowt to stop you building it as supplied, most survive. The catch is the second life often needs the help which has been suggested. Your Irvine .46 is a good match. I did have a lot of enjoyment from the travelair. I gat given one which had been "rekitted* and had some fun putting it back together. Fine for the not so good weather conditions. Have fun
Bruce Richards
I had a Irvine 40 in mine and it was fine so the 46 should be fine 2. I would fly it as supplied and fix it if it brakes. I broke the U/c on mine 3/4 times but never punctured the wings but I did have large 3-3.5 inch wheels. I am not sure if these were the standard wheels because I got the model second hand.
