Area 51 Posted February 5, 2014 Share Posted February 5, 2014 Nice looking kit, maybe a little bit of handful with four ailerons and such a small span, maybe with rates turn right down if youre not too used to aerobats.. how about trying one on your flight sim to be sure, to be sure.. Good fun when mastered.. I have a 1/4 scale with laser 120.. a real pussy cat unless you want to have fun.. lovely model .. so wure you will enjoy. Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator Posted February 5, 2014 Share Posted February 5, 2014 Well I really would not recommend a Pitts for a second model bren! I know they're cool and look great - I've had one and loved it - but they really are not easy to fly! They have absolutely no natural stability - great for aerobatics - not so great if you are still on a learning curve! Their aileron response and roll rate is startling! The short fuselage means very powerful rudder response but difficult ground handling. Finally - they glide like a brick! You have to have your "fly it in", power-on, landings fully sussed.
