Eric Hartley
Hi I've been using a KK2 board on a quadcopter and was wondering if it would be ok on a 450 sized helicopter? Has anyone tried one and if so what about the set up? Incidentally the heli. is FBL.

Eric Hartley
Hi In that case What about the Beast x v3 or Align 3GX MRS? I have tried to research on the web and views seem divided most coming out in favour of the Beast x. Bearing in mind however I have the Futaba 14SG Tx the Align would seem to be a logical choice as it incorporates a Futaba compatible receiver. Has anyone advice on this matter or indeed alternative FBL control systems?
Colin Bernard
Eric, It's a totally different method of control with heli's irrespective of whether or not it has a flybar. With multirotors you are essentially controlling it through the balance of thrust and torque from 4 or more motors, each doing the same job. With a heli you have one main rotor controlling direction, height and speed and the tail rotor controlling yaw. The two are mutually exclusive as far as sharing control technology. Allan Bennett
I had no luck with a regular Align 3Gx unit in my T-Rex 550 -- even sent it back for checking because I was convinced it was faulty. I then got a MicroBeast, and was able to fly it straight out of the box, without having to alter/adjust anything on the heli at all.
Robin Kearney
Eric, have a look at the Ardupilot APM boards, I use one in a Quad, but I believe they support helictopers too. r.
