mike ryan
I have a model I built some years ago, it had a small glow engine in that I ran but never actually flew. It never got properly cleaned, and sat gathering dust for years. Recently I decided to resurrect it and after a wipe down with soapy water the solarfilm was still sticky and very grubby. Trying to find something to clean it with I squirted it with cutan foam hand sanitizer and it just wiped away years of grime no effort at all. It has alcohol in, and effortlessly removed all traces of fuel and muck in seconds.

TigerOC
Meths from your hardware store will be a lot cheaper. Likely the lube in the fuel from years ago was some form of vegetable oil which goes rancid with age. Rob
