fly boy3
Hi all, putting finishing touches to the above model. Up front will be a venerable but little used Laser 61. This is quite a heavy motor , so I have decided to mount elevator and rudder servos at rear of fus. Is this good or bad practice ? john stones 1 - Moderator
In terms of balancing your model without using lead it's good FB3, only downside is it may spoil the look a little. John
reg shaw
I seem to remember these models needed weight up front so it might be worth checking how the balance is before committing. A nose heavy model will only need a tiny amount of ballast at the tailwheel end to make a large c of g change. It'd be such a shame to have to put some noseweight in as well!! Ian. fly boy3
Thanks Reg,will do just that, and if the servos do have to go to the rear, as John says," it may spoil the looks a little" but as long as it flies well I can cope with that. Thanks
