Hi chaps, thanks for the feedback. I did look into the Klass Kote, but have a couple of reservations. It looks like the smallest quantity I can get could be £30, and I'm not confident of spraying it through my airbrush without gumming it up. I have not seen much written about the JP stuff, might be worth a try.

Stuey being a little worried my self I did a test panel and after a week, unfairly poured a little model technics 10% propower glow fuel on it and left it for 30 mins before wiping of and the cloth came away cleanly no sign of the fuel proofer getting sticky let alone coming away and that fuel had soaked into the back of the balsa test piece too so for that glow fuel it seems ok so far it is a lot easier to spray and relatively cheap too obviously if your looking to proof a 1000 hour scale model then the extra exspense of some of the others is well worth it but for a club level model that possibly will only last 4 or 5 seasons (2 or 3 if you fly like me and are lucky cheeky) you have to ask is it realy

Martyn K's Magic thread reminded me about Specta/Flair Gloss Clear - NOT gloss fuel proofer. I used it on my Eros vintage model in 2010, primarily because the Flair cub yellow wouldn't go off so I used the clear in the hope that the drier in it would trigger the yellow to set, which it did. After 4 years of 5% fuel dribbling down the U/C from the tank vent into the exhaust + burnt fuel residue blasted on it straight from that exhaust then a quick wipe-down it is still in fair condition,

Remember, Gloss Clear, not the one marked as fuel proofer.
