Its getting that time of year again and Father Christmas is once again feeling generous and is pandering to my need for yet another aircraft . I have still got a number of models on the building board and queing up for the attention of the scaple and davids plane, so I thought I would give in and give one of those ARTF things a go. I have hankered after the Katana mini for some time, but have decided upon the slightly larger Precision Aerobatics Katana MD instead. PA recommend the use of the Thrust 30 outrunner, which looks sexy, but seems expensive. I also have a couple of other candidates to pop in it. Thrust 30 motor - £65.00. 905Kv 37.5x37mm Purple Power - £29.00 910Kv 35x36mm E-flite Power15 - £50.00, but already sitting on my shelf looking for a home! 950Kv but is 15mm longer than the others and is also 40gms heavier. Obviously I have the power 15 looking for a home, so if anybody knows if it would be suitable or fit with the extra length that would be good. Also has anybody used the 4Max purple set up, and is the Thrust 30 Motor really worth over twice the price of the other one!
