Nigel Finch
Hi all, Rebuilding a Flair Patriot that is well under way. The old canopy was joined to the Solafilm with a identical colour tape. iIt did not seem like solafilm more like insulation tape but was a perfect match and blended in. Need some tips on how to do this and have canopy glue but just how do you finish the edges ? many thanks in advance Edited By Nigel Finch on 01/12/2014 16:15:
Nigel Finch
Sorry I forgot to say it's how to overlay the canopy edges with trim to blend yo the fuselage.
john stones 1 - Moderator
Not having much luck with this one Nigel, I find these little jobs tricky myself. I have used good quality insulation tapes (nice and sticky) go faster stripes from motorist DIY's and Solartrim. If you fix the canopy down first you can seal the edges with strips by pulling and stretching to go around curves takes a bit of time and maybe a few wasted pieces but that's how I do it.
