Adrian Smith 1
Most times when I sell items on Ebay the buyer pays me via PayPal within a couple of hours. However, sometimes I am left waiting a few days and usually they are the time wasters and never pay (by the way I am not stupid enough to send without being paid first. On this particular occasion I even a agreed a best offer, but after 3 days no payment has been made. I am on the verge of advising the potential buyer that I am going to relist and ask them not to waste my time. Am I being unreasonable here? I appreciate it might have been an impulse buy and their PayPal account would need topping up,but that should take too long and the buyer could at least inform me by PM. ..
No Adrian your not being unreasonable. My Paypal is connected to a bank account so not all need to be topped up. I would set the guy a time limit to pay & then move on. Ebay can be a great or a painful place to buy & sell but it most of the time it works. Adrian Smith 1
Thanks guys as I thought. I can act with conviction now although why would anybody want to mess around like that? I am being naive I guess.
Steve T
I don't use eBay as much as used to but I always paid within hours not days, my PayPal was also linked to my bank account so if I didn't have sufficient funds in the bank then I didn't bid! 'Timewaster screamed the headline.
Andy48
Email him back politely and ask for payment. It may not always be his fault. I had this problem a few weeks ago and it turned out he had paid, however Ebay/Paypal had decided to use my old email address and I could not access the funds.
