winchweight
As it says really. I am having trouble with glitching in my Foamy Hawk, and I am looking for some idea as to which of these glitch resistant rxs is best. I am thinking about the Multiplex IPD range, the Schulze and Jeti DSP range, or others. I see there are some Corona rxs which claim to be DSP, anyone tried them?I know 2.4ghz is probably the best answer, but it's too much to spend for a £25 foamy. Tim Mackey
My vote is for the IPD from Mpx
David Ashby - Moderator
Are you getting glitches on PPM or PCM Shaun?
winchweight
Just PPM. I don't have any PCM rx
Tim Mackey
PCM.... the work of the devil If you must stick with 35Mhz, then use a good quality DC receiver as a minimum.
winchweight
Wilco. I am probably going with a Schulze 835W, but I don't think it's DC?
winchweight
Anyone tried these Corona rx? They get a good write up from GiantCod and seem to be pretty clever.http://www.giantcod.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=319&osCsid=62dd2cb70df207be41c94a34c9e5d853
David Ashby - Moderator
Ah ok, Nasa Steve swears by PCM with his electric models - always seems to cure the glitches for him.
winchweight
I've heard mixed opinions about PCM, mainly that it masks the problem, but doesn't cure it.
Bruce Richards
Shaun,I have used the 6 Chan Single conversion Rx from Corona and am very happy with them.
winchweight
Might have to try them at that price (£15)
Tim Mackey
Well it may prove to be £15 that could have been put toward a quality and reliable reputable receiver like MPX.The reason I dislike PCM is that the only model I have ever lost in the last ten years flying was due to a PCM lockout whilst inverted and low....channels reverted to failsafe setting and in it went. PPM would have just glitched and I would have probably got away with it. I can only finish this thread contributiuon by reinforcing the need to use the best gear you can afford with EDFGood luck, I will keep watching your results.
