Ian Bagshaw
Hi, Just returning to the hobby I have bought myself a Futaba T7C with a R617FS reciever, I have lots of expensive servos from when I used to fly 10 years ago. When i set up the system the 3 Futaba 9101's (coreless Servos) I'm using start buzzing, the 148 I have for the throttle doesn't. They don't buzz with the transmitter turned off and nothing is catching or binding and they operate perfectly normally. I haven't flown yet but wondered if anyone has any thoughts on this I don't remember them buzzing quite this much. Thanks Ian
Cuban8
I've come across this before with used servos that have been out of use for many years. If you've got a servo tester, have them run for a few minutes to clear any debris from the potentiometers or just twiddle the sticks to exercise the servos. Chances are the problem will disappear. Tim Mackey
Digital servos almost always buzz as they hunt harder to maintain centre. Its normal - they are fine. Oops -edit - not sure theses are digis after all.Edited By Tim Mackey on 17/01/2015 12:05:
Ian Bagshaw
The 9101's are Analog servos.
Charles Smitheman
I have noticed some servos buzz when not getting the voltage they want. 4.8 /6V or almost flat battery.
