David Pearce 4
Does anyone own a Maxford Greensleeves V2 electric glider? It’s available from Kings Lynn Model Shop and others. I was considering this model. It appears to be very similar to the J P Green Sleeves. In this new version (V2) they state that the fuselage is made from a tougher material. I particularly want something that is not made from foam and this seems to fit the bill. Has anyone flown it and if so would you recommend it? Thanks. Martin Whybrow
In have the JP Greensleeve and it's a lovely model, it's definitley more of a warm-liner than a soarer. The V2 has the addition of flaps / spoilers and the canopy retention has been changed to magnets (the original uses screws which are a pain to remove to swap batteries, particularly as the screws are about 2mm diameter and 3mm long, not easy to find in the grass!) I don't know if they've changed to a brushless motor, mine had the 600 sized brushed motor, but I swapped it for a 600 sized inrunner brushless instead. David Pearce 4
Thank you Martin, that's very helpful. The Maxford USA website recommends a Uranus 35425 Brushless Outrunner. I'll get something equivalent. At £93 it's more expensive than many foam gliders but well worth it I think. Thanks again.
