Dave Bran
Message passed via my Sussex RC Club:- This morning, Thursday 30th April, there was a collision between a light aircraft landing at Shoreham Airport and a model aircraft being flown from Mill Hill. Fortunately there was minimal damage to the full size and the incident is now being investigated by the CAA and the Air Accident investigation Branch. The local police have posted a notice at Mill Hill prohibiting model flying and anyone intending or found flying there will have their equipment confiscated. (Mill Hill is a public site with unpowered model use permitted up to 50 foot over the top of hill) PLEASE do not use this site until further notice. And PLEASE PLEASE do not fill this thread with conjecture and comment!!!!!
Matt Jones
Maybe be worth locking the thread to prevent unnecessary comments and seeing if it can be made a sticky somewhere? Shame, flew there for years.
Pete B
Good idea - I'll move this over to Gliding where it will be morelikely picked up by gliderists... Pete
